The EFRSWSP

In August 1992 the initiative to form a European parental organisation to cooperate with the European Council of Rudolf Steiner Waldorf Schools was taken in Norrköping, Sweden. Members of EFRSWSP must be delegates from a national organization of parents in countries where such an organisation existed.

In Sweden SFWF, (Sveriges Fristående Waldorfskolors Föräldraförening) was formed in 1993 and had 2 delegates representing the swedish waldorf school parents in EFRSWSP.

The swedish waldorf schools, are members of ECSWS, European Council of Rudolf Steiner Waldorf Schools by their organisation Waldorfskolefederationen, the Federation of the Swedish Waldorf Schools.

EFRSWSP and ECSWS have had meetings together in different european cities 3 times a year. To start with, they have taken place in Norrköping 1992, Copenhagen, Luxemburg and Ljubljana in 1993, Madrid, Vienna and Tønsberg in 1994, Turku, Budapest and Antwerp in 1995, Salzburg, Strasbourg and Zagreb in 1996 and Aachen, Tallin and Luxemburg in 1997. Stockholm acted as host for a meeting in May 1998.

Members of EFRSWSP were Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The working language of the EFRSWSP was English.
