The task for the European Federation of Rudolf Steiner Waldorf School Parents

"To directly and indirectly support the ideas and the work that are aimed to realize the Waldorf pedagogy and with it connected anthroposophic ideas and the picture of man initiated by Rudolf Steiner.

To encourage the European and global consciousness through personal activities in the society.

To in an active way support and realize the Waldorfideas and forms of expression, whereby an altruistic and commonly useful perspective should be underlined.

To strengthen the cultural life by demanding from the state the rights of the parents to a free choice of education for their children."

"Concept Statues of the European Federation of Rudolf Steiner Waldorf School Parents"

COMMON VALUES:
Our task is to uphold the idea of Waldorf Education and the image of human being as initiated by Rudolf Steiner.
Our aim is to encourage European and global awareness.
We will actively support Waldorf ideas and methods with particular emphasis on the common good.
We consider the existence of Waldorf schools as being a contribution to the cultural and social life in all European countries.
We claim the parental right of free choice of education.

MEMBERS:
The standing members of EFRSWSP must be delegates from a national organization of parents in countries where such an organization exists. Otherwise they must be delegates from a group of schools or one school.
Each country decides on its own accord the procedure by which delegates are nominated.

MEETINGS:
The meetings shall be held in conjunction with the meetings of the European Council, ECSWS. The working language of the Federation is English.

HOLDING GROUP:
The Federation elects a working group from its members named "The holding group". One of them will be the secretary.
Each Holding Group member is elected for a period of 2 years and normally retires in rotation.
The Holding Group can act between the meetings on behalf of the Federation

TASKS OF THE HOLDING GROUP:
The group asures the continuity of the work of the Federation.
The group is responisble for the preparation of the following meeting. i.e. identifying topics and setting up the agenda.
The secretary is concerned with the practical planning of the meeting. i.e. sending out the agenda, invitations to members and guests and all further necessary information. He/she contacts individual persons or groups of persons (e.g. the Council) and coordinates the work. After the meeting he will work out the minutes and send them forward to the members.
The Holding Group names one member who is responsible for the documentation of the Federation. This includes: internal documents, i.e. minutes, documents worked out by members. External dokuments, i.e. all written information from other organizations or bodies, which are relevant to the work of the Federation.

AIMS OF THE FEDERATION:
Stimulate and support the pedagogical developement of Waldorfschools in Europe

To strengthen the commitment of parents i Waldorf schools.

To increase public knowledge of Rudolf Steiner principles of education and raising children.

To improve mutual understanding for parents problems in different countries.

To make parents aware of the political influence that they can exert.

To facilitate international contacts with authorities and between Waldorf schools.

To favour and support the development of national parents associations.

To promote Waldorf Schools on an European level.
